Last month I co-hosted a very festive Secret Supper at The Colony in Saint Johns, Oregon. We stayed nice and warm cozied up inside, with roaring fires filling both of the fireplaces at The Colony. This was our 7th supper, and our second indoor one, but the sweeping high ceilings and open layout of this location made it feel like we had all the space in the world. We collaborated with Furthermore on a beautiful video giving you a peek at the super, which you can view below. Mona and Jaret of Tournant created another delicious menu for us, including aquavit-cured salmon grilled over hot coals on charred cedar planks and hasselback potatoes with brown butter, nutmeg and sage. You can peek at the full menu below! We were also joined by Bull in China, makers of fine cocktails and one-of-a-kind barware, who mixed up delicious Winter Glogg welcome drinks for our guests with House Spirits Krogstad Aquavit, cinnamon, red wine, and orange zest among other tasty ingredients! The evening would not have been possible without my co-hosts Christiann and Danielle, our volunteers Sofia, Alba, Stephanie, Jeanette, Gwen, and Megan, and all of our sponsors, listed in the post below.
We’ve opened ticket sales for our next Secret Supper, Winter’s Tidings, which takes place about 2 and 1/2 hours south of Portland and is going to be our most epic supper to date. The details are a secret, but I can leave you with this description…
“Open white skies, warm fires, and jack frost nipping at your nose. Steaming pots of rich and hearty dishes, the sound of muffled laughter being muted by snow, and a trail of footprints leading to a table filled with new-found friends. Join us as we bid farewell to winter with a sumptuous feast, filled with local seasonal fare and warm drinks by the fire.”
We’d love to have you join us, you can read more and register for Secret Supper via the link below!
And a huge thanks to all of our sponsors for helping make this supper possible!

Thank you Ruth!!!
Tell me about that grill. Is ir commercially available?
It’s Mona & Jaret’s grill, but it’s commercially available at Cabela’s/ I’m not sure how long ago they got it or if it is still available, but it would be on their site somewhere here: http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/camp-cooking-dining/_/N-1116226 š

have been looking for ideas and inspiration for a themed dinner parties, or a supper club or equivalent, there’s so many ways to do it, off site, home kitchen, rotating among friends, strangers, people who know people, etc, etc, like this option, nice to see how beautifully it came together, thank you!
